October 8th, 2020 — Easing Anxiety (ea) announces the launch of their brand new website: EasingAnxiety.com. This site is dedicated to helping people live better lives with their anxiety and it provides a wealth of information in a variety of mediums including informational videos, relaxation videos, podcast episodes, articles, personal vlogs, resources, and much more. The focus of ea is on general anxiety, chronic anxiety and its disorders, anxiety tips and tools, and anxiety medication including dependence and withdrawal.
About Easing Anxiety
We are a community of people who struggle with anxiety — helping each other. Although this organization was initially created and started by one person, our true goal has always been to grow and expand with the support and help of our community. Many people contributed their time and money to help us get here, and its success is due to their kindness and dedication.
Easing Anxiety began as a YouTube channel in early 2020 as an offshoot of Benzo Free, a centralized hub of information for those struggling with anti-anxiety medication and the long-term effects of its use. Benzo Free is also home of the Benzo Free Podcast which is now on its 70th episode and has been going strong since February 2019.
But why the transition to Easing Anxiety?
Well, as the Podcast gained more listeners, I noticed that even though our primary focus was on benzodiazepines, dependence, and withdrawal, most of what we talked about, and struggled with, was anxiety. Benzodiazepines are anti-anxiety drugs after all — so I guess it made sense.
People started to listen to the podcast who had never taken a benzo in their lives, but just wanted help with their anxiety. And thus, long-story short, Easing Anxiety was born. Benzo Free, including all its content and the Podcast, will be transitioned into the new site in the coming months.
What are the benefits of the new website?
One of the advantages of the new website is that unlike Benzo Free, it was built as a blog-based platform from the ground up. This makes the website simpler, cleaner, and more versatile. All of the content (videos, articles, resources, FAQs, book reviews, etc.) is database-driven, and completely categorized and searchable. This allows the user to quickly find content based on keyword inquires and topic listings.
Some parts of the website are still under development including features such as Anxiety Stories, Book Reviews, FAQs, and others. The ea site is always growing and we look forward to adding to its functionality and content for many years to come.
We Need Your Help
Easing Anxiety is only as good as the time and effort put into it. Thus, we need your help.
